Messy Church

Please note that Messy Church will not be held during the vacancy.  We hope to be able to resume our monthly sessions when a new Vicar is appointed to the Parish.

We join with other churches in Kingsteignton to run Messy Church on the 4th Saturday of every month at the Kingsteignton Community Hall on Rydon Road.

The session is for children and parents.  We start at 9.30am with a good variety of items for breakfast.  At 10.00 we have various messy craft activities each one themed around a bible passage for the day.  Acitivites include painting, colouring, making items from air dry clay, icing/decorating biscuits etc.

After the messy activities we have songs, followed by a Bible story of the day, followed by a prayer on the theme and ending with Messy Grace.  If there are any birthdays there's also always a birthday cake to share.  We usually finish by about 11.15am.

It's lots of fun and open to all children, who must be accompanied by an adult.  We have a large papier mache pig which families are encouraged to feed with cash to help cover costs.
